ACM Services, Inc. performed asbestos abatement and interior demolition services at the Rural King store located inside the Country Club Mall in Cumberland, Maryland. The project took place in the former JCPenney retail space, encompassing approximately 69,125 square feet. The scope of work included the removal of 40,000 square feet of carpet, carpet glue, and asbestos black mastic, 1,090 square feet of asbestos built-up roofing, and 10,000 square feet of ceramic floor tile and thin set. All abatement and demolition activities were completed in strict compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations, utilizing full containment and air monitoring procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
