ACM Services Achieves Top Recognition in ABC’s STEP Program

According to OSHA, approximately one in ten construction workers are injured annually. Despite common beliefs that injuries are rare and only happen to those who neglect safety protocols or are careless.

In 1989, ABC introduced its revolutionary STEP (Safety Training and Evaluation Process) program, a game-changer in the construction industry. ABC, or Associated Builders and Contractors, is a nationally recognized construction association with over 23,000 members across the United States. ABC focuses on assisting its members in developing their workers and winning.

The STEP program has significantly increased awareness of the safety measures that contractors are implementing and transformed the industry’s safety standards. According to ABC, contractors participating in the STEP program are 688% safer than the industry average. Participants also experience an 85% reduction in TRIR rates, a clear indication of the program’s effectiveness in improving safety measures.
