Project Description
The renovation of The Omni Homestead Resort, the oldest resort in the U.S., built in 1766, aimed to preserve its historical charm while modernizing its facilities. This project included extensive asbestos abatement of fire cloth, contaminated soil, floor mastics, adhesives, pipe insulation, and fire doors. Selective demolition involved removing various flooring materials, walls, ceilings, outdated mechanical systems, and structural elements to accommodate new designs. The goals were to maintain the resort’s historical integrity and ensure safety while updating its infrastructure to contemporary standards.
